Said by some to be one of the best restaurants in the area, Ruthie’s All-Day will soon open its second location NOVA location. This one’s at Fairfax Corner.

Construction is finishing up at 11951 Grand Commons Ave., and the restaurant expects to open at the end of March or beginning of April.

The first location opened in 2020 at 3411 5th St. S. in Arlington. The concept was created by owner and chef Matt Hill alongside owner and general manager Todd Salvadore.

“We wanted to create a family-friendly restaurant where me and my family would want to go dine… the kids are comfortable, but we can get the parents eating great food,” Hill said.

Why Fairfax over another location? For starters, Hill’s wife was raised in Fairfax County. “We’ve got a lot of roots there,” he explained. He also mentioned that many customers at their Arlington location are from the Fairfax area. “We wanted to give them a closer place.”
