Reston Town Center is getting an upgrade. RTC Next is a mixed-use development — and it’s still under construction.

Plans include dining options, shopping, entertainment, fitness, and specialty retailers. After it’s fully complete, the development will span approximately 4 million sqft.

What’s RTC Next?

This development marks the next phase of Reston Town Center, creating a more walkable community with office buildings, hotels, apartments, and 60,000 sqft of new retail space.

What did phase one entail?

Phase one is completed and included the construction of:

  • Two office buildings — 1950 and 2000 Opportunity Way
  • The Skymark Apartments
  • Marriott’s AC Hotel and Residences

What’s coming with phase two?

Recently, the Fairfax County Planning Commission approved some requested revisions. The proposal now includes 930,000 sqft of office space across two towers, an increase from the original proposal in 2018.

In addition to these two new office towers, you can expect:

  • Two residential buildings
  • ~22,000 sqft of retail space
  • A 60,000-sqft performing arts center
