History of Victorian architecture in NOVA

It was in the mid-1800s that Victorian architecture became popular in Northern Virginia, coinciding with the reign of Queen Victoria across the pond. Quintessential features often include asymmetrical design, steep roofs, and decorative trim, but the style can vary. Learn more about the style.
