Wondering where you can get a pint or some fish and chips around Northern Virginia? Check out these six Irish pubs in the area.

Ireland’s Four Courts | Arlington
Kicking it off with my favorite bar in the area — an ideal spot to celebrate the holiday. Grab a pint of Guinness or cider and catch a match at one of America’s best soccer bars. Don’t miss their St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

The Auld Shebeen | Fairfax
Established in 2004, this Northern Virginia staple serves Irish favorites like fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, and Guinness beef stew, along with regular live music. Learn more about their St. Patrick’s Day festivities.

Murphy’s Grand Irish Pub | Alexandria
Head to this Old Town Alexandria favorite for nightly Irish entertainment, trivia, sporting events, and more. While you’re there, enjoy classic Irish dishes and a wide selection of drinks in a lively pub atmosphere.

Daniel O’Connell’s Irish Restaurant & Bar | Alexandria
Don’t miss this traditional pub in Alexandria. There are four different bars adorned with fireplaces, historical artifacts, and snugs. I’ll be getting the full Irish breakfast and washing it down with a Magners Irish Cider.

O’Sullivan’s Irish Pub | Arlington
Always a lively gathering spot in Arlington, this venue is a great place to catch live music. Located in the Clarendon neighborhood, O’Sullivan’s Irish Pub hosts live performances every Friday and Saturday night starting at 9:30 p.m. With an expansion currently underway, the popular pub is set to offer even more space for locals.

MacMillan Whisky Room | Fairfax
If you’re looking to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with some whiskey, we recommend checking out this spot. They offer various whiskey flights, perfect for sampling a variety of them. Maybe fill up on some Guinness meatballs first.
