The good news? Northern Virginia offers plenty of food and drink options that you can enjoy for that price or less.
You can get a $2 bagel from the Chewish Deli in Alexandria. Most cream cheeses or spreads range from $0.50 to $2. I’d opt for an asiago bagel with roasted garlic cream cheese.
Most of the tacos at Mexicali Blues in Arlington are $4. Choose from al pastor, barbacoa, carnitas, chicken tinga, chorizo, grilled chicken, mushroom, ground beef, veggie, and vegan chorizo.
If you go to BW’s Pub & Grill in Ashland on a Wednesday, you’re in luck. That’s because it’s $1 Wing Wednesday. You do have to get at least five, but close enough.
We’re cheating a little bit, but we still wanted to share this pupusa for $4.50 at Cerritos Pupuseria in Chantilly.
Clarity is expected to open at Reston Town Center on Friday, May 1. This will be the Rammy-winning restaurant’s second location, with the first one being in Vienna. While the menu will be similar to Vienna’s, you can expect some Reston-specific items. Don’t worry, the French onion soup will be on the Reston menu.(FFXnow)

This No. 1 best-selling jelly tote bag that we’re low-key obsessed with for spring and summer. The tip-proof design keeps your tote upright, but it still folds flat to pack or store. It’s also waterproof, easy to clean, and carry-on approved — hello, beach vacay bag. Grab your favorite color (we like iridescent) and let the compliments pour in.

This past Sunday, I ran the Cherry Blossom 10-Miler, and I’m happy to report that this race is a blast. You get to run by many of the best parts of DC, like the National Mall, the Tidal Basin, and Hains Point. Congrats to everyone who raced that and the 5K. Feel free to send us your race photos.
If you’re itching to race soon, check out the PNC Alexandria Half, which is on Sunday, April 26.
