Back with another neighborhood guide — this time, we’re exploring the vibrant Mosaic District in Fairfax. Tucked just off Lee Highway, it’s easy to miss at first glance, but step inside and you’ll find a hub filled with shops and restaurants.
What’s at the farmers market?
I headed to this popular NOVA spot on Sunday so I could also check out the farmers market, and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival, I noticed a line forming at an empanada stand — DMV Empanada. All I could think was, “This must be good.” I hopped in line with my friend, and we got three different empanadas:
The bacon, egg, and cheese
The chicken pesto
The spinach and cheese
The line in question? Well worth the wait, as these were incredibly tasty.
