Farmers markets for seasonal picks

It’s easy to eat farm-to-fork in NOVA, because our farmers markets are simply un-beet-able.

Make sure to take advantage of these markets before they’re gone for the season.

Fairfax Farmers Market | Saturdays, May 10-Oct. 25 | 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Parking: Park for free at City Hall, City of Fairfax Regional Library, or East Street parking lot, to name a few.
  • Space: Outdoors
Voted one of the top three markets in Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine, the Fairfax Farmers Market offers around 40 vendors for locals to enjoy. Once you’ve secured your goodies at the market, take a seat at one of the many picnic tables.

Annandale Farmers Market | Thursdays, May 1-Oct. 30 | 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Parking: Street Parking
  • Space: Outdoors
  • Pets are not permitted at this market.
Located in Mason District Park, this farmers market offers more than just fresh, delicious food — you can also check out music and local community organizations.

Thanks to everyone who joined in on my “Two Truths and a Lie” game the other day. As promised, here’s the proof behind my two truths:

In middle school, I had the incredible honor of being selected to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during our class trip to DC.

And when it comes to Nationals games this season — I’ve only made it to two so far. Hoping to squeeze in at least one more before the season wraps up.
