Today marks 111 years since the start of World War I.
If you want to learn more about one of humanity’s most significant conflicts, a new exhibit opens today at the National Air and Space Museum in DC. “The Birth of Military Aviation” teaches how WWI emerged as the first testing ground for aircraft in warfare, and has planes, equipment, and other relics on display. A perfect way to get out of the summer heat.
There are four other exhibits also opening at the museum today, so you can make the inevitable traffic worth it.
