It’s easy to eat farm-to-fork in NOVA, because our farmers markets are simply un-beet-able.
In the spirit of supporting all things local, we’ve rounded up eight farmers markets in the NOVA area where you’ll find fresh food, live music, and local vendors.
Parking: There is free parking by the Arlington Courthouse Plaza Shopping Mall.
Space: Outdoors
This is a huge market with over 50 vendors curated by farmers and producers. You can buy items like farmstead goat cheese and pastured bison from locals.
Parking: Head to the Market Square Parking Garage for a free spot from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

Pets are not permitted at this market.

Arlington is rolling out the Priority Dispatch System, a new protocol designed to standardize 911 call-taking and guide dispatchers through all types of emergencies. The system aims to improve response efficiency, ensure consistent handling of calls, provide life-saving pre-arrival instructions, and optimize resource management.

All of the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families can now receive free admission to any Blue Star Museum until Labor Day. Make sure to take advantage throughout the summer — there are plenty of museums around Virginia and the United States.
Festival
The 38th Annual Festival Argentino will be May 30-31 in Arlington. Get your tickets now and celebrate Argentina and its culture through music, dance, and more. When you purchase your tickets in advance, you also get a raffle ticket for two tickets to Argentina and free parking for Saturday, May 31.
Holiday
On Sunday, May 25, Rolling to Remember will hold its 37th annual event, bringing together thousands of motorcyclists for a demonstration ride. The event aims to honor America’s POWs and MIAs while raising awareness about the mental health challenges faced by veterans.
Closing
Walker Chapel Preschool in Arlington will close after 50 years. Despite demand for childcare in the area, its part-day schedule led to declining enrollment. This school served children ages 2–5 and had just 24 students at the time of closure.
Award
A couple by the names of Carrie and David Field from Alexandria are being honored among the 2025 Foster Parents of the Year. They are one of the 10 families from the DC area to be recognized for their service. (ALXnow)

The much-anticipated Virginia Wine Festival in Tysons has been canceled. It was confirmed that the event was called off as a result of insufficient funding. (FFXnow)
Mansion Monday
Anyone seen “Passengers”? When we saw this home in Arlington, our first thought was that the bar room looks so similar to the Avalon Lounge in the movie. The whole house has this futuristic feel, making you feel like you’ve been transported to the year 2050.
