SER | Arlington
Serving up cuisine from Spain, Liz M. selected this as their favorite restaurant in NOVA. And we can see why. Similar to tapas style, there are a ton of dishes perfect for sharing with your friends and family, like choricitos en sidra — mini sausages cooked in Spanish cider, onions, mashed potatoes, and a red wine reduction.

I’ve been hearing so much about this spot, and it’s on my list of spots to try. It was even recently featured on Northern Virginia Magazine’s top 10 restaurants for 2025. I think I’m most drawn to the homemade pasta list, specifically the gemelli a la vodka. Note: this farm-to-table spot changes the menu based on the season.
This mansion in Great Falls feels like we’ve been transported to the coast of Italy. My favorite part? The lovely backyard feels like the perfect setup for an outdoor dinner party. Don’t forget to serve a selection of wines from your home cellar.

The Word
Frisson. It means the strong feeling of excitement and chills you get when you hear music or see art. Let’s use it in a sentence — I’m going to get frisson when I see the Nutcracker at Capital One Hall on Sunday, Nov. 30.
Announced
There will be a new Album of the Year winner at next year’s Grammy Awards, with none of the nominees having won the prestigious accolade before. Want to pick your own favorite? We recommend singing along during a beautiful fall walk.

Taco Bell is selling a Baja Blast-flavored pie this Thanksgiving. The drink’s signature tropical lime flavor has been turned into a filling on a graham cracker crust, topped with whipped cream. To each their own, but we prefer picking up seasonal desserts from one of NOVA’s small businesses, like Acme Pie Company. (People)
