As leaves begin to fall and collect in your neighborhood, you may wonder how you can best dispose of them. Here are some tips for different communities in NOVA.
Fairfax County
Broken up into sections and rounds, Fairfax County offers leaf collection for many residents. Search your street name here to see the current status for where you live. Be sure to read the directions on how to set out your leaves properly.
A plan + order Ikea location is coming to Georgetown on Wednesday, Nov. 5; however, the Pentagon City location will be closing. The latter will remain open for appointments and pick-ups until Thursday, Nov. 20. (Washington Business Journal)
Sports
The Fairfax County Park Authority is no longer moving forward with new pickleball courts at Franconia Rec Center. The county originally proposed converting half of Franconia’s practice tennis courts to pickleball only. Don’t worry, there are still over 90 pickleball courts in the county. (FFXnow)
