As Halloween approaches, November is right on its heels. Here are 15+ exciting events to look forward to next month. Fall-O-Ween | Saturday, Nov. 1 | 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. | John Carlyle Square, Alexandria | Price of purchase | From locally made crafts to a pet costume parade, this is the perfect event to round out the Halloween season. Admission is free, but you can purchase drinks or locally made Halloween decorations.
Winter Walk of Lights | Friday, Nov. 7-Sunday, Jan. 4 | Various times | Meadowlark Gardens Court, Vienna | $19+ | Walking in a winter wonderland… of lights. This winter-themed experience kicks off this November. Get a hot chocolate or a boozy option for adults while walking around this light display.
Northern Virginia Christmas Market | Friday, Nov. 7-Sunday, Nov. 9 | Various times | Dulles Expo Center, Chantilly | $9 | Shop gifts made by 300+ artisans from 30+ states. There’s a wide variety of goodies like pottery, stained glass, woodwork, and photography. There will also be a food drive for the Capital Area Food Bank at this event.
After five years of review, the mixed-use development at a corner of Tysons West passed through the Fairfax County Planning Commission. The project would replace the gas station and the Tysons 3 shopping center with housing, an office building, and a park. There’s also talk of a public arts and culture center. (FFXnow)
