A new, free festival is coming to Old Town Alexandria. The Alexandria Book and Craft Festival will be held in the Tavern Square Courtyard on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 25 authors and 15 artists will display and sell their work. (ALXnow)

As part of the RTC Next development, a Dogfish Head Alehouse location is coming to Fairfax County. This marks the first Virginia location following the closures at Seven Corners and Greenbriar Town Center. (FFXnow)
Transit
With a targeted completion date of early 2027, Alexandria’s bus system will break ground on a new electric bus charging station at 3000 Business Center Dr. on Thursday, Oct. 30. The transit agency hopes to go fully electric by 2035, and this site will store 32 electric buses. (ALXnow)
