Coming Soon

A new tennis and pickleball store is coming to Arlington. Pete Poggioli, of Capital Stringing + Tennis, is opening the first brick-and-mortar location for Capital Tennis and Pickle. Previously operating out of his own property, he’s now bringing a storefront to Wilson Boulevard. We’ll be sure to update you when it opens.

Hey now, you’re a rock star. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Shrek,” this movie will be screened as part of the Washington West Film Festival in Fairfax County. Check out the rest of the schedule and get your tickets here. There will also be a live concert on Saturday, Oct. 11 — headlined by Smash Mouth, the iconic band behind the hit “Shrek” soundtrack. 🏒 Washington Capitals (NHL) | Est. 1974

This hockey team is a member of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference. The team also has two minor league affiliate teams: the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL) and the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL.

Where they play:
  • Capital One Arena
  • Opened in 1997 as the MCI Center, the venue adopted its current name, Capital One Arena, in 2017. Before this, the team played at Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland.
