Through Saturday, Feb. 14, Fairfax County is hosting its annual archery program, allowing bowhunters to help manage the local deer population. Interested participants can apply here to hunt on 100 participating properties throughout the area. (FFXnow)
Development
After community pushback, the Community of Alexandria is working to reduce the size of the waterfront pump station planned for Waterfront Park. In the design update posted on Sept. 3, it showed reducing the plan by about 18 to 22 ft. Check out upcoming community engagement opportunities. (ALXnow)

A new Yemeni cafe is coming to East Falls Church, taking over the former Chasin’ Tails space. Qahwah House, a family-owned, Michigan-based chain, has applied for permits at 2200 N. Westmoreland St. The menu will feature coffee, tea, and pastries. (ARLnow)
