Hidden behind a discreet entrance inside the gym at the Watermark Hotel, this new speakeasy invites discovery. Open Wednesday through Saturday from 4:30 p.m., guests can indulge in a 21-course tasting experience or opt for refined small bites — standouts include the Tebasaki Sausage.

Oiso, 7133-C Columbia Pike, Annandale | Korean
This spot offers Korean street food dishes ranging from kimbap to donkatsu. It is closed on Mondays, but is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every other day of the week.

Today is

Juneteenth. It is a federal holiday, so expect closures of government buildings like county offices around NOVA. Observe the day with a Juneteenth community day in Arlington, a Juneteenth Revels Concert in Alexandria, or a celebration in Chantilly.

Development

Alexandria plans to replace old sewer pipes starting in July, and continuing for the next four months, on the 500 block of South Lee Street. City officials will share details in a community meeting at City Hall on Wednesday, June 25. (ALXnow)

The Department of Junking has opened in Del Ray. This new junk removal service offers consultations, telling customers how to best get old furniture into the second-hand market. (ALXnow)

COPA Tysons Soccer Fest is back, and registration closes by the end of the day. Individual registration costs $12.51, and team registration is $55.20. The Festival is free for attendees. (FFXnow)

Civic

Tuesday was Virginia’s 2025 Primary Election. Here are the standing results: Ghazala Hashmi narrowly won the Democratic primary for Lieutenant Governor, while Jay Jones won a tight race to be the Democratic nominee for Attorney General. They face Republicans John Reid and Jason Miyares, respectively, in November. Separately, incumbent Patrick Hope overwhelmingly won the Democratic primary for the District One House of Delegates and faces no general election opponents. (Patch)
