We already know NOVA is the best place to live, but don’t take our word for it; several neighborhoods across Northern Virginia were featured in Niche’s 2025 list of the Best Places to Live in America.

The best place to live

Arlington’s Colonial Village neighborhood took the top spot on the list, and rightfully so. The neighborhood’s public schools, nightlife, family-friendliness, commute, and healthy environment all earned “A+" grades. Dreaming of waking up in Colonial Village yet? Explore homes in the area.

Top spots around NOVA

Colonial Village wasn’t the only local community to make the list. Check out these other Arlington neighborhoods that made it to the top 100:
The City of Arlington itself was ranked the No. 3 best place to raise a family in America, and the City of Alexandria was ranked the No. 13 best city for young professionals in the country.
