“Queer Eye” is searching for local heroes

The Netflix TV show is casting heroes for its next season in Washington, DC and the greater DMV area.

Four people from the "Queer Eye" cast are standing behind a desk looking at papers and jewelry sitting on top of the desk. Two of the four are hunched over to get a better look. On the other side of the desk, a man sits and points at one of the jewelry pieces. A "Netflix" banner can be seen in the background.

The “Queer Eye” cast was invited to visit the Library of Congress back in 2019, when the show was new at the time.

Netflix’s reality TV show “Queer Eye” is making its way to the DMV.

For the show’s 10th season, the Fab Five — Jonathan, Antoni, Karamo, Tan, and Jeremiah — will head to the District, and they’re currently seeking heroes to appear on the show and undergo lifestyle changes.

Nominate a hero

Anyone located in the greater DMV area — “within an hour of DC,” according to Casting Director Natalie Pino — can be nominated to become a hero on the show.

To nominate someone, send an email including the nominee’s name, story, and photos, or submit an online application. Bonus: See what a “Queer Eye” casting director looked for when casting heroes in previous seasons.

Location, location, location

This is the first time that “Queer Eye” will take place in the DC area. So far, the show has filmed in Atlanta, GA; Kansas City, MO; Philadelphia, PA; Austin, TX; New Orleans, LA; and most recently, Las Vegas, NV.

Now, we’re left wondering which local businesses will be featured in Season 10 — we’re hoping for a The Nest Egg appearance during Jeremiah’s home makeover + a The Organic Butcher sighting during Antoni’s food session.

Place your own bets now, and we may return once the season airs to see who guessed correctly.
